One-of-a-kind Miniatures
I fell in love with gaming miniatures 30 years ago in college when Dungeons and Dragons was all the rage. Some folks played it with pencil and paper, and later live role playing became popular, but to me it was always the miniatures.
The first miniatures I saw were from 25mm MiniFigs LTD, fantasy lines based on Conan and LotR, those and some lead walls used as a moveable dungeon floorplan created the miracle and creativity of role playing games for me. Soon after I saw my first miniature war game in progress but put that on hold for a few years because the RPG's talked to me (metaphorically).
I started by using glue to add weapons and convert figures for the figures that never seemed to be available. I made my first figures in metal design in college and got an "A" to boot. I still have those. Later, when I learned how the greenies were made, I started making figures that were not available but that I felt I needed for the storyline in a RPG.
Ten years years later I was making figures professionally. That is people were paying me to make them. I have made miniatures for Iron Brigade, Lizard's Grin and Simtac as well as my own short lived miniature company, Mite-y Minions, which lasted from 1985-1989. The entire line of figures from Mite-y Minions can be viewed by clicking on the window below.
